Codi & Kevin's Wedding Highlights
In today's blog post we wanted to share more of Best Bud staff member Codi’s wedding photos with you and give you some of those special background details about her wedding day.
After much planning, and with a mixture of excitement and nerves, it was Codi and Kevin’s big day. The wedding ceremony took place at the Chalmers Castle Downs United Church, on the North side of Edmonton.
Codi had decided she wanted to incorporate some elements of her family history into her wedding day. The top layer of Codi’s veil was actually part of her grandmother’s veil that she wore at her own wedding 68 years ago and the necklace she wore was given to her grannie by her grandpa on their first wedding anniversary.
Codi’s something blue was a custom designed ring by her mom and contained her birthstone, Aquamarine.
The reception was held at Snow Valley, which most people know is on the South West side of Edmonton. Codi and Kevin chose that location because it was the best combination of a big city wedding and a smaller, more intimate country wedding.
Codi gave us almost free rein of her wedding day flowers, the only directions she gave us was that she wanted the wedding flower colors to be purple and green, to include orchids and that her flowers should have a volume and texture to them.
The decorations in the hall consisted of flowers made by Best Buds along with some assorted card and travel games on the guests tables and photos of Codi and Kevin that showed the journey of their amazing relationship over the past 6 years that lead up to their glorious wedding day.
Codi and Kevin had an amazing day, and it turned out to be everything they could have hoped for and more.
All these incredible photos were taken by talented Edmonton based photographer Ampersand Grey who captured the experience of Codi's wedding.
